“I Was Devastated By Hon. Popoola’s Sudden Death” – Ibadan Northeast LG Chair Mourns Oyo Serving Lawmaker
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan Northeast Local Government Hon Ibrahim Akintayo has condoled with the family of the late lawmaker representing ibadan southeast constituency 2 in Oyo state house of assembly, Hon. Olusegun Popoola, Popson.
Hon Popoola who died on Tuesday night at the University College Hospital, Ibadan after battling with kidney related ailments.
In his condolence message made available to newsarena.ng, the North East Local Government chairman also sympathized with the Engineer Seyi Makinde, Oyo state house of assembly members, PDP in Oyo State and the entire Ibadan Southeast local government
Hon Ibrahim Akintayo described the death of Hon Ademola Popoola as huge loss to the good people of his constituency and Oyo state at large.
He said “When I received the sadden news of his death I was devastated and shocked because nobody could expect young lawmaker and vibrate being like him to die at a time his Constiuency needed him most.
“I commiserate with pragmatic Governor of Oyo state , Engr Seyi Makinde, Deputy National Chairman South Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja , Speaker Oyo State house of Assembly Hon Adebo Ogundoyin, Chairman Ibadan South East Local Government Hon Emmanuel Alawode,leaders and Members of our great party as well his immediate family over the loss.”
Hon Akintayo also prayed to God Almighty to forgive his shortcomings , repose his soul, giving his family the fortitude to bear the loss
