Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has praised the Nigerian born Middleweight, Israel Adesanya for being a worthy youth ambassador for Nigeria.
Sunday Dare in a statement said the country is proud of the achievements of Israel Adesanya.
He said Adesanya and another UFC champion Kamaru Usman have continued to represent the country well anytime they engage in a competition.
The minister congratulated the Nigerian born UFC champion on yet another successful title defence.
He added that: “We are proud of Adesanya and Usman and we will continue to celebrate them because they always identify with Nigeria, they always proudly carry our flag everywhere they go. They are our global icons. We believe they have many more successes ahead of them,” Dare concluded.
