Governorship candidates in the forthcoming Osun State gubernatorial election had on Thursday locked horns in a debate, where their policies and programmes were delivered to the electorate.
Candidates that participated in the debate were, the incumbent governor and flagbearer of All Progressive Congress, ApC, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, Accord Party, Doctor Akin Ogunbiyi, Labour Party, Honorable Lasun Yusuf, Social Democratic Party, SDP Architect Goke Omigbodun and the canPeople’s Democratic. Party, PDP participateed in the debate.
The debate was organized by the BBC Yoruba.
While some candidates harped on thhe need for Agricultural revigoration for Economy prosperity of the State, others emphasized the need for good Governance and fair treatment.
the candidates who unanimously frowned at vote trading before and during election, urging the Electorate not to give room for vote buying as it is against the Electoral Law.
They promised to prioritize better welfare packages for workers and pensioners.
Present at the event included media executives within and outside Osun state.
