Super Falcons of Nigeria have been knocked out of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
They bowed out of the tournament after losing their round of 16 clash with England 4-2 on penalties.
The game had ended goalless after 120 minutes which saw England forward Lauren James sent off in the 87th minute.
Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie both missed their spot kicks as the European Champions England advanced to the quarter final stage of the tournament.
